Okay, I'm having some problems with my PS2. I recently cleaned it, ( Usually every 3 months ), but this time, something went wrong. You know how the magnet on the top part of the disc tray? It spins to tell you how fast the disk is spinning right? But now, it starts off with very, very small rotations and then goes normal. I cannot boot my backups this way and my originals have to be taken to the Browser screen and into the Memory Card screen for about 3 seconds before it can be recognized.

It use to spin right away and I'm stumped. Can anyone help me?

Did you take it out for some reason? It might be upside down.

I always take the top part out. I have never took out the magnet however. This happened to me before, and I got it, but I spent over 2 hours yesterday to no avail.
