I backed up with no problem. I had a AnyDVD trial running in the background, ripped with DVD Decrypter, shrunk with DVD Shrink and burned the output files. I had no problem at all. If you do not have AnyDVD use DVD43FREE at DVD43.com it does the same basic thing as AnyDVD for free but personally i don't think it can handle encrypted discs as well

I had no problem with Mr.& Mrs. Smith.... I did my typical DVD Decrypter and dvdshrink combo.. and bingo got what I wanted .. no muss no fuss..
now the dvd that did give me a problem was Sky High.. Anyone else have that issue???

of course if u dont have dual layer capabilities then i think the program has an option to split it.. but i would upgrade if u dont have dual layer beacause then u keep the dvd's in original content just w/o that damn copywright protection

ok clearly everyone has a formula that works for them... but do not classify other programs that you do no use as crap.... they are the originals and "free".. my simple formula is this DVD Decrypter + DVD Shrink + maxell dvd burned @ 4x (no matter what 4x)... flawless everytime!

I made a backup using AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2. I just copied the main movie, but it has excellent quality even on my 55" WS HDD TV.

With DVD43, since my AnyDVD trial ran out, do you just open it and then run DVD Shrink? Or do I have to do something? This is actually the first DVD I have had problems with. I only know the pretty basics of putting the DVD in and analysing it and then shrinking it with DVD Shrink. Then I burn it with Deep Burner. Now with all this new protection, do you think I am going to have to buy a program like AnyDVD, or are there other comparable softwares, besides DVD43?

Mr. & Mrs. Smith shouldn't be hard at all, both DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink can handle this movie easily. If you can't rip it with either DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink, then it is likely that you have a badly pressed original. Get a exchange for a new one and you should be fine.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
