The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves...

Hey timberlou, The only recording done here from TV is done by my wife when she records her soapys on the Beta recorder I got her for Christmas the first year we were married. It?s getting harder and harder to find tapes for it at the garage sales and flea markets so I told her if she was nice to me I just might invest in a used VHS for her. LOL
Anyway, what it boils down to is that I have no idea?????

I usually hit about 5 local stores here to get what I want. Just picked up The Fog, full screen at a local grocery store, an Albertson?s. Also have Wal-Mart and Sam?s Club here. Stay away from Blockbuster, don?t usually rent..

Hey, Timberlou
What's that got to do with the price of peas in China?
LOL I Don't know, I guess it has to do with the color of the coating that they use... I've got some that are purple and some that are silver. I only use Verbatim now and I think they are purple, but I can't remember. I am at work and don't have one with me.
Had to put my computer in the shop this week so I'll not be on here very much until I get it back..
That sure is a trama for me.. LOL

Just wondering about silver laquer DVD's (TY brands) if I use a sharpie to mark it, would it cause any problems?

Shouldn't hurt if you don't mark on the recorded side..

Hi,
You can use a Sharpie Marker to write on any Dvd surface. Alot of people have inkjet disc printers with inkjet media. I use the Casio CW-50 Disk Title Printer. You can get it for $50 at JR.com after $20 rebate. You can only print in one color at a time, but its perfect for silver lacquer blank top media, like T-Yuden and Verbatim that you can get from Rima.com. (much better than using a sharpie, does a professional job)
As for the color on the burn side of dvds it just depends on the dye the manufacturer uses.
T-Yuden and Verbatim are the top two dvd medias, and I haven't had a problem with either one of them.
celeron 2.8, 2x 80hd, 1 gig ram, mad dog ext 8x dvd+/-r
1 click DVD / AnyDVD, Dvd-Cloner 2, Dvd Shrink / Dvd43
Nero, Power DVD, Pinnacle Studio 9.43

thanks 2old
xxruin 2old made me get a epson 320 and it is great for printing on the dvd, they look just like the one you bought and it takes about a minute, just download the cover and print it out, i have done about 75 disc's and still have half my ink so it is cheap to use
