Should I go with + or - ? I know if I see some that are made in Japan, I should get them. But what if all I see is made in Taiwan? Does anybody know what the Media ID is for + or - for Sony's?
Thanks

Sony media is either going to be Taiyo Yuden (+R Yuden, -R TYG) or Sony coded. In my opinion, the Taiyo Yuden stuff is better but the Sony made media is very good also. As far as whether you should buy +R or -R .. well, I first need to know if your DVD writer supports bitsetting .. in other words, can you set the booktype to DVD-ROM? If your writer has this ability then I'd go with +R. If your writer doesn't support bitsetting then I'd buy -R.
