i recently did Madagascar effortlessly with DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.6.0 (free) then Shrunk with DVD Shrink as normal. what i did do was use my dvd-rom/cd-write combo drive (like io do for most of my ripping); didn't try to rip it on any of my dvd burners as i'd done the movie already but it's always nice to have a couple of optical drives..as if a movie won't play ball on one drive you always have a choice of drives to use..

I agree with badrapper, if it is on your HDD then run it through VOBBlanker and open it with Shrink or Nero Recode if you have it, which works much better IMHO. Just did Valiant, which has the same protection, trying the method of Decrypter, VOBBlanker and then Recode and it came out perfectly.

I got Madagascar backed up on disk. But it will only play on my computer. On one DVD player it won't play at all and the other in will just keep freezing. I ran AnyDVD then DVDFab and then DVD Shrink. I was trying to used Vobblanker but the guide dose't seem to have as many choices as the software. Last, someone said to make sure my firmware is up to date, I looked it up in the glossary but don't know how to do it. Please help
My burn speed is 4X
Target size is 4300
The media is Imation DVD-R 8x 4.7 gb data

I just can't figure out what else to do. I got rid of the Imation
dvd's and bought good quality dvd's. I burnt it again and it siill won't play on my dvd player. I plays great on 3 other computers. Does anyone have any ideas? this is happening with Cinderella Man and Madigascar. Thanks

I haven't find any dvds that I can't backup yet. Madagascar was playing tough for first round, but DVD Decrypter & VobBlanker beat it easily. Other great programs (and or cracking engines) such as DVDFAB Decrypter, AnyDVD and DVD43 now can rip Madagascar beautifully.
