Can anyone tell me how to booktype (if its possible) a DVD+R to -ROM? I use DVDFab Decrypter, DVD Shrink 3.2 and ImgBurn 1.1.0.0.
Thanks

That's a good question; I can't tell. All I see on the face of the burner is 8X, DVD RW/R , Ultra Speed , compact disc.

Open Decrypter and use the Tools Tab, then Drive and then Capabilities this screen will open and give you some info on your drive

Unfortunately, I am using the free edition of DVD Fab Decrypter version 2.9.6.2 and it does not have any tabs to select. Looks like I am out of luck. Thanks anyway!!

Is this an internal or external drive, and do you remember if this was an I/O Magic drive when you got it. What it is a rebadged BTC drive, and not capable of booktyping.

Just curious because the firmware on it way out of date and you can update from the I/O site or from rpc. At any rate that is if you want to because flashing a drive is always a risk. I have this drive by I/O Magic only it was an external which gave me problems with the case chipset, the drive burned okay though.

You gave great advice and I appreciate your help. So far I have had no problems with DVDs and things are working great; so I may follow the old saying, "if it aint broke, dont fix it." Thanks again!!
