I have LG external DVD burner GSA - 5163D. I'm using firmware verison A104.

I used DVD - DL (double Layer) to burn using ROXIO and it stopped after 1%.

Now I can not close the session even though it only recorded 1MB.

I tried using the utitilties that comes with ROXIO but with no luck.

I failed to burn DVD-DL 8.5 GB dvd with this burner. I have tried at 5 dvd-dl but all failed.

Any suggestion?

Lots of folks report trouble with ROXIO. Here is a guide for doing your DL's using DVDdecrypter.

Unfortunatly, i could not close the session for any of my dvds and yet i can not add anymore data even though i have over 8 GB free.

Are you 100% sure this drive supports DVD-R DL and not just DVD+R DL ?

Tools like VSO Inspector v1.1 can tell you if it does or not !

I have tried both A03 and A05 and yet i could not close the DVD+DL session. I guess all my 10 DVD+DL ruined.

I have checked my burnner supports DVD+DL.
