Guy's,
I have searched this forum a long time and need some help please.
I have used DVD Shrink for a long time with no issues. But now I cannot find the ISO image in the "choose target device" dropdown menu??
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Nero 6 and DVD Shrink as well and still get a blank in that pulldown. Any suggestions??
Thanks a lot!

Try looking here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\WINDOWS\Application Data\DVD Shrink
You should find the ISO there if you did not specify a different path.
Info thanks to Creaky! LOL

In Nero do you have the burn with Nero tick box checked?
I don't have Nero so I can't be sure if it is there or in shrink.
re-read again, so you just have a blank there in shrink?

9mm,
WHen I uncheck the "burn with Nero" box in DVD Shrink the only selection I see in the dropdown menu on the "backup" screen is hard drive folder. In the past I had several options and now I only have 1 option.
Thanks

Thanks Locoeng,
I figured it out. I had used the program Windowblinds to change my desktop and for some reason it would not show anything in that screen image you posted. Once I changed my desktop all of the items appeared in the drop down menu. Sorry about that!
One more quick question: I chose ISO image file and when I went to the desktop where Shrink saved the ISO it had the video and audio TS folders zipped up and it did not contain an actual ISO? How do I configure shrink to output an ISO instaed of the video and audio TS folders??

Are you sure you selected the files that DVD Shrink produced and not the files of the movie you used to compress using DVD Shrink? How did you rip the movie to your HDD?

Not sure I understand you? I used shrink to rip the DVD and asked it to put it into an ISO file on my desktop. However, when I looked at what shrink ripped, it was a zipped file that contained video files. There was no ISO file where I asked shrink to make one only video and audio TS folders that contained video files.
What should I do??

Nothing turns up. I do not have any ISO files on my HDD. I am clueless as to what I am doing wrong?
AS I mentioned I have the ISO image selected (BTW, I do not have DVD Decripter) and the ripped DVD turns up as video files in zipped format.
If you have any other suggestions please advise.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.In order for
Why/How did you end up with a zipped video files after the ripping process? This doesn't look right. In order for DVD Shrink to create an ISO image, you need to set up the "Target Device" as mentioned by LOCOENG (see picture above).
In addition, you need to have DVD Decrypter rip the dvd as MODE, ISO, Read R into your hard drive. Then have DVD Shrink encode and compress and make an ISO image to burn with either DVD Decrypter or Nero Express. However, if ripped it as MODE, File F, you can still have DVD Shrink create an ISO image inside DVD Shrink's settings as well.

Thanks Alkohol,
I am not sure how it happens either. I have shrink rip the DVD (because I need it compressed and therefore do NOT use DVD Decrypter) and select target as ISO mode in shrink. When shrink finishes I have a zipped folder that contains video files?
I have Nero as well. DO I need to change any settings in that prog to make this work?
Thanks

Thanks for all of the help.
One last thing. I have tried DVD Shrink, DVDfab, IMG Burn, and Folder 2 ISO and all of them have made a zipped folder that contains video files. None of them has made an actual ISO image when asked to do so. Is there some weird setting on my computer or Nero that I need to fix in order to get an ISO image with these programs?
Thanks

Refer back to my first post in this thread, and make sure that in the drop down menu you have selected to ISO image file.
