Play Backed up PS2 games

Guys,

I have read all the threads on the forums, but still can't get my backed up PS2 games running.

Here is what I did,

1) Read the ISO files from the DVD to my Hard Disk using DVD Decrypter
2) Changed the mode to Write on the DVD decrypter and wrote the ISO file to the dvd-R(fijifilm).

But the backed up disc does not play on my ps2 console.
What am I missing ?

By the way my PS2 is not modded and neither do I have any swap magic discs.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Another thing I forgot was that I wrote these discs one at high speed and one at the lowest possible speed.

Help me guys

Can anyone please tell me how to play my backed up game without modchips or swap discs

Unless you have a friend with a modded ps2 that can do a memory card exploit, there is no other way to play burned games. For the price of 1 game you can buy what you need.

k scratch what i just wrote....this is what i need help on...

i burned an .iso file of Socom 3 for ps2 onto a DVD+R and would really like to start playing it...what is your best advice...should i get a modchip or is swap magic a safe alternative...from what i've read installing modchips takes a bit of work and i dont really want to be messing around with my ps2 too much...so please any advice would be helpful
