They have a torrent of it over at blackcats-games (Google it). You have to register though.

Andrew, Thanks that was a great site. If you could point me to some utility that would help me unformat the HD that would be great. I been looking for something called HDtools, and other stuff, with google for the last 3 hours or so and so far no luck.

Yay. I didn't find what I was looking for but I found what I needed. WinHIIP 1.7.5. The man who wrote it is the best. Recoverying the drive couldn't be easier (did a scan, picked repair, and then save and all my stuff was back). Thanks to that GadgetFreak fellow.

I would like to know if deanspeed found the utility disk for the Sony PS2, as I am in need of the disk for the Sony PS2 HD. If anyone has some useful info I'd appreciate it, Thanks!

Yes Deanspeed I still need that! I went to that web site recommended above, downloaded the 3 files (disc 1, 2, 3), burned them to a cd and the hard drive won't acknowledge it. Please help, got a hard drive and can't control it. Thanks!

Your ps2 needs to be modded to read the burnt discs.

it means if you want to use any kind of backup disk witch is what those 3 files are then you need to buy a ps2 mod chip and have it installed or install it your self, I would personaly recomend the dms4pro mod chip. if you dont want to do that then there are 3rd party software that you can buy so you can put your games on your hdd.

Thanks Deanspeed for the recommendation of a chip. I assume it is realtively easy to install(?) Sly - I am just trying to gain control of the hard drive I recently purchased - it did not come with a utility disk. We can see the hard drive there, but without the utility disk we have no control over it and the PS2 won't read the disk I burned those files onto. I will see about that chip to modd it - do most electronics stores sell it?

The PS@ won't recognize the memory cards anymore so we got the hard drive to use for the games that need memory. Guess I'll have to find the chip recommended by deanspeed. Thanks

Is it easy to install the mod chip? How much does that typically cost? How do I find the 3rd party software that will allow me to save games to the hard drive? All I want to do is use it for games that would normally require a memory card, so which would be the best way to go?

Just to be clear, we can see the hard drive and the things saved on it, but the PS2 won't save our games to it. Our memory car slots don't work which I assume doesn't matter when you have a hard drive. Thanks to all!
