I need to unlock my motorola v220 phone- locked to virgin- HELP PLEASE?!

Ok. So the other day i bought my new mobile phone, a Motorola v220. It came with a Virgin sim but i want to use my vodaphone one. I was wondering if anyone knew how i could unlock the phone?

I have tried the USB cable thing and it doesnt recognise my phone so nothing works.

Help!!

[edit]Ok so i did everything using the drivers and the unlocking program. It says "Done" and everything, but when i turn on my phone and put in my pin its still asking for the subsidy number, whats going on?[/edit]
