I have just gotten a new dell and would like to know more about copying dvds on sonic record now. Each time I try to copy a dvd I receive this message: "this disc you are trying to copy is copy protected. A copy of this disc cannot be performed." Can I copy dvds with copyrights? If so how? Please help!

i havent used sonic in awhile but u will definitley need some thing to break encyption. like DVD43 (which is free here at ad)or AnyDVD or dvdidlepro. AnyDVD and idlepro come with a free trial. i would recomend ditching the sonic and tryng dvdfabdecrypter and shrink. u will need a burn engine, Nero is what i recomend or u can use dvddecypter. there r links under my sig that have guides for using this software. u can download most of them at filepedia.com which is on the home page at ad.

Just a hint here is a term that you should learn to use.
I want to know how to back-up my DVD's.
Copying means that you are doing something illegal and I for one don't condone that, if you get what I mean.
You see the law says that you can make a legal copy of a disc that you own so that junior or fido don't ruin your favorite disc.
Ironic coming from a guy who's handle is PirateDan LOL.
