Afterdawn is a great resource but one of the stores supported by you does not ship to APO addresses. My husband is in the military and we have been stationed overseas for 5 years now. He's served in Iraq and Kosovo and will be going back to Iraq soon. I hear all kinds of reasons people/stores won't ship to an APO but I have found 99% of them to be baseless. The only reason someone would not ship to APO address would be because they do not want to fill out a US customs form - which by the way - takes about 1 minute. Anyway - for those of you who DO support the soldiers in the US military - maybe you too could let these people know how you feel. This is a small thing you can do for us that means a great deal to us because we are limited on items we can purchase and rely on the internet a lot (for example: the cheapest I can purchase blank DVDs, if I can't get them online, is 60 cents a piece). If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at Removed By Mod-- thanks.

No posting email addresses per forum rules. They can be exchanged via PM. I'm also going to move this to the media forum so you can hopefully get more replies.

Unfortunately businesses like Supermediastore have pre-determined policies that it generally takes an act of God to change. My brother ran into many similar issues with several sites when he was in Afghanistan and the only recourse he had was to buy from someone else.

Thanks. Seems we don't have a lot of options when it comes to media and other computer products. Most stores don't ship over here.

The biggest problem my brother ran into was getting things shipped to any address that wasn't listed on his debit card. 1 place actually told him that all he needed to do was have the address added to the card but the bank doesn't do that. I'll email him and see if he can give me a list of sites he ordered from. Some of them were very helpful and bent over backwards to make sales to servicemen - those are the ones you really want to patronize anyway.

I'm in the 32nd MEDLOG BN at Ft. Bragg myself, so, I've had my share of deployments as well... I'm in logistics, and we ship just about everything everywhere... PM me, and I'll help anyway I can...
