I downloaded a torrent of the USC football game a month ago and I was going to give it to my father as a Christmas Gift. The game came in ISO format but I was hoping I could get some help on how to turn it into MPEG2 or AVI so that I can edit it and add DVD menus. I see that there is help for turning VOB files into AVI, but what about ISO files?
Hi, you may first create a virtual drive with e.g. Daemon Tools, then mount the iso onto the virtual drive to get the actual contents. If you get a video_ts folder (with .ifo, .vob), then you may use e.g. Imtoo DVD Ripper to convert them into mpeg or AVI.
ISO is a disc image standard.
You will need to mount it to a virtual drive, i.e. Daemon Tools.
If the content is DVD content (video_ts folder with .ifo and .VOB files), you can rip with with DVDDecrypter or you can use DVD2AVI through a VFAPI, then cut and save to avi(s) with VDub.
There are a lot of different routes you can go, the main thing is finding out what is on the ISO file. Mount it and let us know...
Okay. I have followed your recommendations but I am still having problems.
1. I extracted the ISO using IsoBuster. I got a lot of VOB files and such. I then opened DVD2AVI and tried to convert those VOB files into AVI Files. The problem is that no matter what I try, there is always an error during the conversion process.
2. When I use ISOBuster, I open the ISO to reveal the VOB files as mentioned. The "Extract mr2filters only" option is not available.
