if the code stayed on screen try this, enter the same code I gave you,

Insert the NON accepted sim card.When it says phone restricted, press "undo."
It will ask for a restriction code,and enter the code in to the box on screen,I have given you, then press enter

Thank you Etowah,
I have tried the code provided by you. But it didn't work. I followed the algorithm.
With no SIM, it didn't give any action, either "Code error" or "Phone restriction off".
With SIM, it gives Incorrect code msg. Will it be blocked after 3 bad attempts?

Please advise.
