Anyone know whats going on if when I load my swap magic 3.6 dvd or cd my ps2 freezes on the big swap magic screen (the one before load game screen where you swap the discs)? It used to work fine. Been using it for 3 months now and suddenly it just freezes. Thought it might have been the laser but I can play original games same as usual and I just bought another new swap magic set and the same thing happens so is not the swap magic cd's. Can anyone help or know whats going on?
Thanks

Unfortunately, the Swap Magic DVDs simply aren't well-pressed, and are tougher to read than they should be. I've never heard of the Swap Magic completely freezing at a certain spot, to be honest, but it's not entirely unusual (though it's still rather rare) to hear of Swap Magic discs not working on one particular console, but working on other people's. I guess you can chalk it up to a unit-specific laser issue, esp. if the new set doesn't work. Short of replacing the laser unit (which is expensive), I don't know what you can do.

If you have an older PS2, you *can* try using the Swap Magic CD to load DVD games using the cogswaploader CD by following the instructions here ( http://www.swapmagicfix.com/cogswaploader.html ). Instead of using the Swap Magic DVD in step 3, you can also use any original large-sized, high-TOC DVD5 game like Devil May Cry, Mercenaries, etc. This won't work for the slimline PS2, though.

allo mate

this will work on the big ps2. take the top off, u don't need the slide tool.

load swap magic 3.6 twice using the eject button. then after the 2nd time u load it swap the disk round from the top with your game and press X and it will work.

merry christmas & happy chanukah.
