I know some/most of the DVDs may not even need this multi-steps procedure, and maybe just a single "DVD Shrink" will work, yet, in establishing such a "guaranteed to work" procedure, we can easily put every disc thru that process and not have to "figure out" each disc on its own. Sometime it is wasted work, but to KNOW that i will work is pretty priceless too. (So that I can train a monkey to do this for me...)

So far, here is my procedure, PLEASE COMMENT, UPDATE, CORRECT, SIMPLIFY... then I can streamline my process:
1) run AnyDVD 5.6.1.1
2) copy/decrypt the content to the HD with DVDFab Express
3) run VobBlanker 2.0.1.0 to remove any embedded errors
4) run DVDShrink 3.2.0.15 to reduce the size to DVD-5(4.7GB)
5) write DVDR or DVDRW with Nero Express 6.3.1.20

I know this is probably more than enough for most of the disc, but so far, this guaranteed to work even with the hardest ones (Madagascar, Bewitched etc...)

Remember, the keyword here is "guaranteed to work".... (of course, it won't guarantee new and upcoming "protection"....

If your gonna use AnyDVD then just run it behind VobBlanker and rip straight from your disk as your input file in VobBlanker and process it. The you can cut out DVDFab, usually AnyDVD and DVDFab do not like each other.

So, which disc has the worst/strongest protection out there now? So that I can verify the new process?

Try madagascar (rip guard) & Bewitched (sony arccos).
Also try shrink (w/nero burning by default) with AnyDVD in the background. Another simple method.

Like binkie7, I use DVDSHRINK and Nero to burn with AnyDVD in the background. Back up 99.9% of my dvd's with no problem.

Government big enough to supply everything you need is powerful enough to take everything you have.

dvd shrink,AnyDVD in background,DVD Decrypter to burn. 100% perfect on movie only so far.

I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.

I've had total success so far with a combination of AnyDVD, DVDdecrypter, DVDShrink, imgburn.

Not one failure with a combination of these.
