I ordered qoob sx and i thought moding the gamecube would be easy because it would only be six wires so the first time i modded it i got just a normal bootscreen and no disc spinniing so i checked for solder problems and next time i tryed i got this error message saying something about the system so i took out the chip and it just worked normally but then i wanted to try again but then i got a black screen .... i read here that it will be fixed by removing tin so i did but what happened then was when i was removing tin:
where you soulder the purple wire just at the right side were completely melted to the bothom when i had removed the tin from there.like one of the metal soldering points but just at the side
i dont know why, i was just removing tin with a tin remover with a 18watt soldering iron. so does anyone with some idea know how to solve this..... after i were finished doing this my gamecube was of course black screen with or without the modchip so can somone give ideas or....

If you damaged that IC chip the only plausible way to repair your GC is to replace that IC chip, the motherboard, or the whole GC.

I'm talking about the integrated circuit chip, not the modchip. If he burned up the IC chip, he needs to do one of those three things I mentioned. Hell, I'll even edit it to make it obvious that it's what I was referring to.
Oh, and I applaud how helpful you were to danmann. Really, great words of wisdom.

Well, the chip was mentioned, and it was referred to the modchip, in the first instance. Wether you meant another kind of chip or not, I did not know. 'Should have specified :)

If you damaged the IC chip, that's the end of it. Like I said, replace the IC chip, motherboard, or entire GameCube. There's no other way around it.

IC chips can't be serviced. They aren't designed to be.
