I have a older v1 PS2 that I use the slide tool & Swap Magic 3.6. I back up my games to Phillips DVD+R (I have tried Sony +R with no luck in the v1 PS2).

I just got a slimline PS2 (70001 v13), that I just installed the Magic Switch Pro v2.

I can play normal PS2 games in the slimline and I can load up Swap Magic, but when I go to put in my backup, it says "not valid PS2 disc" and I can't get past the load screen. This is with both the Phillips +R and Sony +R discs.

Is it a media problem? Anyone know if the v13 doesn't like certain media? I will try other media, but I was hoping what worked on my v1 would work on my v13. I guess if it is media and I find a new DVD disc that will work in the v13, I hope it works in the v1 too.

Otherwise, why wouldn't it load in the v13 with the message "not valid PS2 disc"? I think my switches are in correctly.

I used a Fliptop mod on my slimline and it was tricky at first, but I solved the problem by squeezing shut the lid while Swap Magic booted and problem solved.

Well, here's one and I think it's solved now. I used Magic Switch Pro v2 B Tool and D Tool (C tool can't be used in v13 PS2.) But I used another company's "A" tool which I put in instead of the one from Magic Switch Pro and vola, both Phillips & Sony are playing in it.
