DVDshrink itself can't burn your backups, its used with DVDdecrypter if your trying to burn an ISO image or Nero (will burn both ISO images and files in a VIDEO_TS folder).
You should explain how you're using DVDshrink (all your settings) and what you're using to burn you're backups. NEED MORE INFO.

Ok, if you're burning your backup with DVDdecrypter then you're trying to burn an ISO image. You still haven't stated how you start the burning process so I'll describe how in two steps:
1) Once dvddecrypter has finished ripping your dvd to your hard drive the files should be in a VIDEO_TS folder, open the files with dvdshrink and have it create your ISO image.
2) Once dvdshrink is done open dvddecrypter and choose ISO write, browse to where the ISO image is and choose it. Insert your blank media and for destination choose your recorder, for write speed choose 4X, start the burning process.

Two possible causes are poor quality media and a write speed that is just too fast for the media to handle (possible uncorrectable write errors may be detected by the burner and the process is then stopped). I wouldn't rule out a combination of both.
Did you get a successful burn/backup yet?

You say shrink backed up succesfully?
What movie is it?
What kind of media are you using?

Are you overburning the media? Maybe buffer overruns. Set your burn speed at 4x.

What version of Nero do you have? The latest is 6.6.0.18, upgrade if you don't have the latest.
Describe how you are using Nero to burn the ISO image.
If you're having no luck with Nero, try using ImgBurn(free) at ImgBurn.com, it does a great job of burning the ISO to dvd (remember to burn at 4X).
