I'm trying to follow your "simple" steps on Brothers Grimm using DVDFabDecrypterv2.9.6.0(Free) & VOBBlankerv2.0.1.0. I have NSW2005, SpyBotSDv1.3, DVD43v3.6.2, DVDShrinkv3.2.0.15, & Patin-Couffinv0.19 installed on my g/f's Sony Vaio PCV-RS710 running XPHomeSP2 with dual 3GHz P4 & 512M RAM. The burner is an OE Pioneer DVR-108. The only mod is an extra 80G HD, & the OS was reinstalled last month due to a bad OE HD.
But when I blank the 6 PGCs you list & hit PROCESS, I get an error for an unsynchronized VOB, & the process fails out. Is one of the other installed programs interfering?
I have now read a few more threads; one mentions shutting down DVD43, but that had no effect for me; another mentioned un- & re-installing VOBBlanker, but I only installed it moments before getting this error. Do I need to disable DVD43 & reboot?
@steve83
The method I used DON'T required AnyDVD or DVD43, so you'll have to turn both of them Off, in order to process smoothly.
I believe you may have a bad pressed to begin with, try to exchange for another one and you shouldn't have anymore problem. Honestly, I don't know why some members are having with an "unsynchronized VOB error", and seriously, every movies I ran through VobBlanker, I've never experienced any issues whatsoever.
So my suggest is to: (1) clean the disc real good. (2) re-rip the movie with either DVD Decrypter via Mode, File F, or re-rip the movie with DVDFAB Decrypter. (3) now continue to follow the "mini guide" carefully.
Again, honestly, I don't have any issues at all and my backup went through smoothly. I've tested my backup and it played flawlessly. Good luck!!

I just read thru your "Answer to the CAVE..." thread, and I found some info there that I think will help. I've dl'ed DVDFD2966 now, and I notice you have an "OK" button in VOBB that I don't remember. I might have skipped that.

Try just hitting process in Vobblanker without selecting any specific VOBs. I did it with both Valiant and Madagascar with perfect copies to result.

I find it amazing how so many people can have such a variety of different experiences in making backups. I didn't have a problem with any of these movies...some I used Recode 2, some CloneDVD 2 and I used Rebuilder Pro/CCE and Recode 2 with Brothers Grimm and they all play perfect. The one thing I found interesting was Stealth and BeWitched. I made a copy on cheap media to see what would happen and sure enough there was a pause at the beginning and they couldn't be played unless I went to next chapter and then went backwards to the beginning and then they played fine, so I simply went in and used Recode 2 ro Shrink and after re-authoring simply went forward past the pause and then hit backup...burned the movie and they are flawless...no pause and they begin with the studio credits. Kind of wild but it worked for me.

Well, I installed DVDFDv2966 & PCGEv062 and it seems to be working now. Shrink has analyzed & is now encoding. I went advanced & pulled out a few extras using PCGE and some more with VOBB, and reduced a couple more to still images with Shrink, so I'm crossing my fingers.

It works, but the director's commentary is gone. When I select it from the special features menu, it plays the regular soundtrack. I just looked in Shrink, and it shows the main movie director's commentary enabled at 165MB, so why won't it play? Did PGCE disable it somehow? Or VOBB?
BTW
My printed artwork on a silver printable disc looks better than I expected. The colors are just as vivid (if not moreso), but the lines aren't nearly as sharp. Heath Ledger's face is too bright, but I've tweaked it as much as I'm going to.

Open DVD in VobBlanker, Save to created file. Then Process When complete. Open that saved file with Shrink. Run like normal.
