first of all thanx in advance . ok so i have the first season of the sopranos downloaded on my hard drive (Sopranos T1D6). the folder says VIDEO_TS . the files in the folder are as follows , VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB... i have the dvd decrypter , dvd shrink 3.2 software downloaded on my computer , and i want to convert this to dvd . can somebody please help me out (i've already trashed 5 dvd's trying to do this ). once again thanx in advance to anybody who helps .

Hi Frank, welcome to AD.
Use the guide in my signature for DVDdecrypter and DVDshrink. Follow it step by step. Burn at 4x.
You'll be good.

Yes that should do it if you have the files on the hd already. In the future you might want to consider getting AnyDVD or DVD43 for encryption breaking. You could also get DVDFab decrypter which has a built in encryption breaker but is is only a ripper.
Read as much as you can at the forum and you will do fine.

ive used DVD Shrink and thought thats really all i need ???
whats the diff if i have DVD Shrink or dvdfab....
i just copied war of the worlds , and i just have to
get a burner ..... it look pretty good...
i like the custom option so i can cut out all the extra's
i shrunk a file 2 times, and it still looked ok .
sounds like there s more to it 9mm...... or you just
shooting blanks ... thanks alex

One of my guns shoots blanks, the other doesn't...LOL
Well, yes and no, there doesn't have to be more to it, but there certainly can be depending upon the movie selected. That's why I recommended reading here at the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge to be gleened.
There are ample guides for learning the backup process, and there are ample tools available. If your question is is DVDdecrypter and DVDShrink all that you'll ever need, probably not. But they are a great starting point.
My arsenal is:
DVDdecrypter
DVDShrink
imgburn
DVDFabdecrytper
AnyDVD
CloneDVD2
That is all that I use and I have been able to backup every movie I have ever tried with a combination of those programs. My norm is
this combination:
AnyDVD, DVDdecrypter, DVDShrink, imgburn. 100%success.

when i'm following the decrypter and shrink guide do i start from number 22 since i already have it on my hard drive ? thanx
