If i use the re-author mode and choose main movie only, and just click on 5.1 english audio and english subtitles, when I go to play the DVD, the subtitles come on, unless I turn them off with my remote. If the subtitles are turned off, the subtitles wont come on if theres a scene that needs it.

Now, if I do the entire movie with menus and extras, the subtitles dont appear.

I sometimes enjoy just doing the main movie only due to better compression rate, but the subtitles popping up is annoying.

Any ideas on how to get it to work with main movie without the subtitles appearing, but only when neccessary in the movie???

Click the box to remove them... If the director felt that they needed to be there (such as when a character speaks in another language), the will be labelled "forced" and should not be removed if you want to know what is being said.
