everything depends on your network/connection. I only have a 100mbit network at home, which is fine cause that as far as the xbox will go in full duplex. Anyways,at 100mbit you should be transfering around 11MB/s average.

It also depends on the files.
If there are alot of small files (eg 15kb) then it will take longer....just for the simple fact that for each file there will be a door that has to open and close for each one. This kinda slows things down a bit....not too much though, but if you factor in hundreds of thousands of little files...it adds up.

Whereas if there was just one large file, the transfer will have time to get to it's most optimal speed and stay there.

Generally a 3.5gig game for me would take about 10-20 minutes

oh dman. so i guess it's probally bcos i have an onboard network card/connection. thats why it so crap.
well at least i know taking 5-6 hours for 1 game isn't normal now.

so does it depend on my network card ? would i have to get a new one
or could i just change my network options with what i have now.

pretty newb questions right there. haha.

I usually have a bit longer on mine
more like 30-40 minutes at least.
But i have heard the the program i use, FlashFXP is just a little slower.
Also know that you can't FTP an ISO file.
It has to be the folder with the game files

takes me about 20-25 minutes, and the kb/s can vary for me, sometimes its low and most of the times real high.

I have a quick question though, after d/l the whole entire :d file from xbox to my pc and making iso with qwik and burning with dvd decrytper, it wont play on my moded xbox.

It gives me this message "Unable to launch(run I forgot) "default.xbe" and right under saying file does not exist.

Anybody know what Im doing wrong?

did all the files transfer over?
Did it give you any message that says some files were not transfered, that happens sometimes.
If you have it on disc you can try to FTP from that instead

so I dont need to patch it or something? Theres a tool on qwik that says patch xbe.

Everything seemed to be copied over to my pc :C drive and also while doing the iso which then turned into a .rar file. The game I was trying to burn was "Halo" and I burned the iso onto a DVD-R.

Sorry but I didn't really understand what you said about iso on xbox and ftping the disc?

can you reprhase that for me an a easier way please. Im new to all this, but it doesn't seem to hard.

oh and heres the files I got from the D file on xbox with a game inside
-default.xbe
-xdemos
-bink
-maps
and then in bink, maps, xdemos theres seperate files/directories

Thanks,
Rigo
