I guess this is just an opinion...I converted 18 AVI videos into DVD format. When I put all of the files from the Video_TS folder into Nero, I went way over 4500 mb. I realized that it would probably take me 3 DVDs to burn them all as a video disc. My question is...I can fit all of the AVIs onto 1 Data Disc and all of the converted files onto 3 Video Discs. I would much rather fit all of the videos onto one disc plus the quality would probably be better since the AVIs wouldn't be converted, but not many DVD players play data discs. What should I do?!

You could take the converted video (VOB Files) and run them thru DVD Shrink to bring them down in size and then burn to a DVD-5

You could also burn to a DL disc.

I'm not 100% sure but I think you can buy DiVx dvd players that will play .avi files burnt to a disc (data disc)

I decided to just burn 3 DVD video discs because compressing the VOB files with DVD Shring would ruin the quality way more than it is already. I ran into one problem though. I can fit about 6 episodes onto one DVD disc. I put another 6 on there and I exceded the limit by about 25 mb. I decided to try overburning, but Nero gave me a warning telling me that overburning might ruin my recorder. I don't want to burn another whole disc just for one episode. I can't figure out how to compress VOB files using DVD Shrink. I only need to compress one episode. Can you walk me through it?

hi did you convert the avi's separately? if so load each folder of vob/ifo/bup to dvd shrink in RE-AUTHOR mode then hit backup...

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

I compressed all of the VOB files with DVD Shrink. I loaded the original VOB files from VSO DivXtoDVD into Nero and replaced only one episode with a compressed VOB file from DVD Shrink. I only needed one episode shrinked. When I hit burn, Nero gave me yet another warning..."DVD-Video files reallocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable." and it asks me if I want to continue. Why did I get this warning and what should I do about it?

I know how to burn already. I get that warning from Nero right before the burning starts. I need to know why it's doing this and if I should fix something or just continue...
