I have a 65" WS HDTV and I see know difference between the original and the backup.

I prefer not to see menues and title screens so I just make backups with just the movie only. If you choose to make the whole movie then you will see a loss on picture quality since it hase to be compressed to fit to a DVD5 which is only 4.37gb and most movies with added and deleted scenes and so forth are between 6 or 7gb. So it's reallyn up to you unless you have a dual layer burner and dual layer dvd's which you can backup the whole dvd with no compression.

pretty much, as said before I see no difference but some people beg to differ. Make a back and judge for your self and post back and let us know what you think.

@korso55

If you want the highest quality, get DVD Rebuilder and either HC or CCE. I have a 52 inch widescreen HDTV, and I use Recode2 for compression down to 75% and DVDR Rebuilder w/ CCE for movies that require greater compression. Theoretically, no compression is lossless, but I can discern no difference with the naked eye. And, trust me, I can be very anal about attention to detail (13+ years in the military)....
