I have been trying to rip my Pantera DVD for the last two days and nothing is working. I have tried dvd shrink, decrypter, anydvd, dvd clone, Nero Recode, etc and nothing is working. At first I thought it was the disk, so I exchanged it at the store. It is still doing the same cyclic redundancy error message. I am new to ripping so I don' know if it is the disk or my system. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post a Nero log file that we could see?

Use the guide links in my signature to establish an effective process and try it again. CRC errors ususally mean a dirty, scratched, disc. You did clean it?

Post back.

Both of the discs were brand new when I tried to burn them. With nero I think you have to decrypt the disc to your harddrive, but so far I can't even get that done. Any suggestions? Just out of curiosity, is there some type of copy protection that they put bad sectors on the disc on purpose? Is there a program to by-pass this? Thanks.

You can try dvdfab decrypter express. It's helped me backup some very difficult movies like lords of dogtown, whereas dvd shrink/dvd decrypter/dvdfab decrypter all failed.

You'll want to make sure you activate AnyDVD.

I think this link should bring you up to the free trial:
