Good point, what I mean is to rip this movie, Shrink is sufficient, all on its lonesome

strange. in which case try DVDFab Decrypter (free) from http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm which rips the entire disc to hard drive. Use DVD Shrink on the folder created by DVDFab..

Just backd up this movie using CloneDVD2 with AnyDVD in the background. I have come across many saying you cannot go wrong with this combo. They are all right! You cant. Couldn't do it with Shrink, kept getting "Out of Memory" message. Get the trial and then make the purchase. It's a total stess reliever. :)

I have tried 1click dvd, clone dvd2, DVD Shrink, dvd fab, AnyDVD, dvd x copy platinum, VOB blanker, DVD Decrypter but nothing seems to work completely. I have gotten the movie on to hdd but I have checked the quality of the movie and every time at about 2/3 of the movie it starts getting digital break up and progresses to the point that there is pixelization all of the time the last 1/3 of the movie. What can I do to stop this? And to get a good backup of the movie?

guys, how can you say that :(
it's an excellent film (i concede, the ending is too sad) but Jennifer Connelly was worth buying the movie alone

I agree with creaky on this one. I liked Dark Water a lot. I've always loved Jennifer Connelly. On Tuesday, I bought the unrated version of Dark Water and Into the Blue.

Yeah, she looks really good now. I have a Netflix account and I actually just put one of her older movies on my list. It's a movie called Phenomena, which came out in 1984 - 2 years before Labyrinth. She was only 14. lol I've never seen it before, but I've been reading reviews about it and a lot of people seem to like it. Apparently, it's supposed to be pretty violent. Phenomena is about a young girl who is capable of mentally communicating with insects. She's sent to a Swiss girls school where the students are being murdered. With the help of a wheelchair- bound bug specialist, she must find the killer before he finds her.
