I have a bunch of Ink Jet Printable CD's and DVD's...
I have been printing Adhesive stick ons for them. I would like to buy a good printer that will print directly to the CD/DVD. I'm using 8x Tiayo Yuden DVD's that are inkjet compatable...
I have searched all over the net and have been able to only find a very small Handfull...
I live in the US and from what I have seen, the CD/DVD Ink Jet Printers aren't sold here...
Is there an over seas vendor that will ship one to me?
I really liked the way the Canon i965 looked, but I have not been able to find one outside of Australia. (This vendor did not ship out of Australia)
Any help will be greatly appreciated...
Staple's have been running sales for the Epson R-320 the last couple weeks. $129 after rebate.I'm not sure about this weeks sales.I think they are clearing out the r-320 for the r-340 model.
They also carry the epson r-series at Office depot and best buy should have them as well. Sams club is where I got my r-200 for $79.I picked up my dad the same r-200 at staples for $50 after rebate. These are quality printers, and the case covers look better than the originals!
Sticker labels on top of ink jet printables? That combination is just asking for stand alone player playback issues!
Another option is the Canon IP4200 on sale at Staples for $99.00.It will NOT PRINT disc straight out of the box,you will need to puchase the Canon disc tray from Ebay for around $20.00 and make a few simple firmware changes. The Canon IP 3000,4000 AND 5000(I use the IP3000 and IP4000) can still be found on Ebay and do not use chipped ink cartridge.I also have the Epson R200 and it does a fine job but I like the removeable printhead the Canon has when they clog I just take them out and soak them in alcohol and thats not an option with the Epson fixed printhead. All USA model Canon's will require the tray and firmware changes to enable disc printing.
