If you replace the original PStwo (slim) case with one of the XCM replacement cases (the same cases used for HDConnect mods) will you still need a magic switch? Basically what I'm asking is does the XCM replacement case depress the sensors for you?
Currently my slim PS2 is bare. I want to know what does what before I actually drop money into something. The only reason i ask is because I learned the "magic switch" doesn't let you close your ps2 and the "ghost switch" forces you to cut tabs off and open the ps2. the "slim tool" is about ten dollars more than the other options and still isn't perfect. Hard modding the system with a chip can blow your laser. I'm just trying to find the hassle-free option of playing imported games.
NOTE: I miss the PSX days of action replay swapping...
