i am not new to this but i have never seen this happen w/decrypter, i just got a new computer and have not been able to use decypter to burn yet due to an error message when it starts to iniatlize burn process after shrink encodes. the error i get is i/o errorthen it displays my dvd drive make and model under that is scsistatus0x2 interpretation :check condition and invalid field in parameter list and it retries like 20 times before just stopping completely. i have my i/o setting on spti-microsoft and have also tried all the other i/o interface options and still nothing. i just now tried to open up decypter again and i get the same i/o error except it says interpretation:read capacity and interpretation medium not present with a whole bunch of 00 00 02 sense area things, but on the log itself it says inialising spti/searching for spti/atapi devices/found 1 dvd+-rw! i am using ver 3.5.4.0. program decrypts to hard drive fine though. sorry this is sooo long, thanx for your time and input

Which drive do you have and what is the latest firmware version?

Check and see if you need a firmware update. These are required to keep burners up to date with the latest media trends.

You can check it here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php

Just put your drive model in the search box and hit search.

luminox,
You can also use DVDDecrypter to check for firmware.
In Decrypter go to: Tools -> Drive -> Check for Firmware Update.

i have a liteon dvd+-rw sosw 822s, i checked if i needed to update firmware and it said no updates available. i believe the drive to be very new as i just had this laptop custom built by alienware last month. anyways what i'm using now for backups is the trial ver of AnyDVD and clonedvd2 with shrink, and it works like a charm and 2 times as fast as decrypt and i've backed up all the latest releases with no probs at all. so i'm just going to use those programs from now on, but i just am at a loss to why decrypt won't burn. thanx 9mm for helping me out lately. Hey how about them lions! lol, i live in mi to so i always have to joke about them!
