I'm gonna have to break down a do a DL one of these days. I have had so much success on DVD5's though that it's difficult to justify the cost of the disc.

Oh well.....

I am with you on that one... I have two 10 packs of Verb DL I picked up this weekend ($19.99 apiece). If they were printables, I would have experimented by now... DL is FIVE times more expensive than SL... Might just hold these two packs and exchange them when DL printables hit brick & mortar stores...

@creaky

I'm not sure if this is the burning log or not but the times seem to match up to when I burned The Wedding Crashers.

No, Nero is your burning program, not a ripper. The update is just an upgrade to the program.

@9mmruger1

I updated dvdfab decrypter I set all the settings. In order for me to rip any movie I still have to go through the dvd fab decrypter correct. The reason for asking this is 2 fast 2 furious wouldn't do anything until I reran it through dvdfab and then backed it up. I will know in a couple hours if it worked properly....

Thanks again

latest version of AnyDVD running while using latest version of CloneDVD makes a perfect copy....trust me. i've already tried using every variation of AnyDVD + dvdfab decrypter; which is usually what i do.
with what i've done, you have no "error" on your dvd player. tried in two dvd players. once again; like i said, works perfectly.

Yesterday, I backed up Wedding Crashers, 40 Year Old Virgin, and The Skeleton Key using AnyDVD & CloneDVD2 with no problems. My wife watched the first 2 and said they were fine. I only back up the main movie as I'm not interested in the other stuff on the DVD.

Hello I am definately a newbie and trying to understand more of the technical stuff, but anyways. I was able to make a back up of Wedding Crashers with AnyDVD running in the background and opening it with DVDshrink and burned it with Nero6, the only other thing I did was illiminate anything that did not say English. I am watching the movie now and have no problems.

I burned the Wedding Crashers 4 times, the first 3 had bad glitching in certain chapters (10, 11). So on the last burn I had AnyDVD running in the background, opened with DVD Shrink, and burned with Nero. Just like you said it works perfectly. Hope this post helps others out as well. Thanks alot.

I tried DVD Shrink and stomp recordnow. I tried DVD43 and 1clickdvdcopy. i tried DVD43 with AnyDVD and dvdfab and it backed up with dvdfab but when i go to burn it, it says the file is too large...?

Im trying DVD Decrypter now and im going to try burning it with Nero like you guys did...

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Also, what media is best to use? Im using sony...

I just burned the uncorked version on the HP system in my sig using Patin-Couffinv0.19, DVD43v1.4, Shrinkv3.1.7.5, Nero6.3.1.12 with no problems. I eliminated foreign languages, & reduced the worthless menus & extras to still pictures w/o sound to get the main movie up to ~51% compression.

On a side note:
The special features disc (Target exclusive) is a DVD, but it's only 438M. Can I burn the DVD files to a CD & play it, or is it more complicated? I don't want to waste a DVD for ~1/2 a CD worth of data.

I found with the lastest new releases, they rip better with DVDfab decrypter(google for it and it's free), open with your DVD Shrink, and burn with Nero. Stealth, Sky High, Valiant, and Madagascar will not work dvdfab or DVD Shrink. Let us know if it helps your problem....

Cheers

@kornacus

I used DVDIdle with AnyDVD running in the background, opened with DVD Shrink, and burned with Nero. Make you if you get it to burn to check chapters 10 and 11 for glitches. It took me 4 tries to get a clean burn.
