no change as well for me. it still says Drive not supported. I guess its to do with the drive. Maybe NEC drives don't support this!

The Disc Quality test in Nero CD-DVD Speed doesn't work with some drives. It doesn't work with my Plextor either.

I tried DVDInfoPro but that didn't do the trick either on my NEC 6650. Can someone tell any other program that can give those graphs and disc quality that I can use.

This tool does not work for me either and it does not matter what drive I have had in my computers, both Dell. Not sure if it is a Dell thing or just the way they have their setup. Try the free DVD InfoPro that should work.

DVDinfo Pro works with my NEC 3550a, but not my LG 4163b. I am using hacked firmware with the NEC though, don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I've given up on scans as long as they play well and look good I am happy. Neither DVD InfoPro or Nero CD/DVD Speed work with my Dell, still think it is a Dell thing. However, my PlexTools work fine for both my Plex drives and they scan out excellent so I will just have to by that.

Even I couldn't see a single scan to see how the quality is. I'm more interested in the quality scan even though the backed up movie plays well we never know if there is an error.
Can someone tell any other tool that works? ANyway why is Nero CDDVD speed can do the disc identification not the scan. It should be doing some kind of reading the disc and if the disc can be played on the drive I don't know whats the problem with Nero CDDVD or DVDInfoPro.

updating this thread as i'd since found out after discussing this same subject with 9mmruger1 (on another thread, can't seem to find that thread at the moment), that while the CRC portion of dvdinfopro works on LG drives, the quality scanning bit doesn't. i'd assumed it did work as i'd used the CRC checking bit..ooops
