Sorry - Didn't realise there was a seperate forum for Motorola, so have out it in here :

Have just had a motorola v171 for xmas (wanted a cheap & simple phone !), went to put my old sim card in & is asking for an 8 didgit "subsidy code" ???
Is this because the phone is locked ? (sorry for sounding dumb !)
If so, does anybody have a code ???

Have searched forums & nothing on v171 - can anyone help please ?
