i just did a complete restore on my computer...now when i try to make a backup with dvdshrink(3.2), it save it as an .iso (which i want it to do), but it saves it as one of those unrecogiziable (?)window's thingys....u know....the one that has the itty bitty six folders in the page that is dog earred in the upper right hand corner...there is no typical .iso file icon....what's up with that? is it a windows issue that doesn't recogize it....and if that is the case, how do i fix it....

I'm assuming you mean a system restore as opposed to a clean install. When you restored the computer it was restored to a point where what ever software you had on the pc that recognized ISO files is now gone and windows cannot associate it with any thing that created it or may use it. If all your diong is creating ISO images to burn then all you really need is dvddecrypter or ImgBurn to do it.
