Hey I have a slim ps2 not the brand spankin new silver kind. I also just got swap magic 3.6 for it and it works just fine... now I also have a MyFlash high speed 512mb usb drive. On thier site it says the following

"Swap Magic Plus v3.6(Note 1) not only inherited the features of Swap Magic v3.3, but also included an advanced function - Programs Loader. This function allows you to load your own programs which are stored in USB mass storage device/memory card. Just plug in the USB mass storage device/memory card and boot your PS2 with Swap Magic Plus v3.6. Then, your program will be loaded automatically. Easy, fast and hassle free!!! It could be the most useful and advanced development tools that you've ever seen!!!"

It says this is how you do it...
"Loading your own programs from USB Mass Storage Devices:
1. Rename your program to SWAPMAGIC.ELF
2. Create a folder named SWAPMAGIC in the root directory of your USB Mass Storage
Devices and then put the SWAPMAGIC.ELF file in the folder.
3. Plug-in the USB Mass Storage Device to the USB port of the PS2. And then boot your PS2
with SwapMagic3.6. If the program (SWAPMAGIC.ELF) is found in "../SWAPMAGIC/", it
will be launched automatically."

Not quite sure but WTH am I doing wrong here I do exactly as it says I have the program in this directory I:\SWAPMAGIC\SWAPMAGIC.ELF Is that wrong? What else do I need to do? Please Help ME!!!!! I thought if I post on this site it might get answered cuz this site rules, but anyway thanks :)

I have the same problem.. I followed the instructions in the link
found below.

Hey

I have a read a guide here on how to boot a USB hd on ps2 slim with
SM 3.6, but havent been able to get it going. The disk will not boot, even if I followed the instructions.

I used the method found in this post:

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Welp I tried the one in the post as well but still to no avial.When I boot up swap magic the light on the stick flashes a lil then stops then the screen goes to load program and screen thing plz help me out :)

Same with me... The disk activity lamp give a flash or two and
the swap magic screen appears..

My problem was to simple (-:

Remember to use uppercase on both the directory and file.

SWAPMAGIC and SWAPMAGIC.ELF

I user lower case, when i changed it work.
