I have had great success using dvd shrink and burning with nero oem version 6. In the past I have gone to file and located where i stored the movie and clicked and it just started to reauthor and backup very quickly and then it burned but recently when it goes to burn it burns for a little while and then I get an error message that the burn was unsuccessful. Can anyone help with how to burn a second copy successfully.

I'm a little lost too but I think you have a media problem.
Which brand of discs are you using? What's your burn speed? Is your firmware for your drive up to date?

I used DVD Shrink and saved it to one folder and then burned it. then I went to the file menu and found the folder and clicked it and then it re-autoured it and then i click back-up and it encoded it very quickly and then when it said to put in a disk to burn i did so just like it did originally and it started to burn but then got an unsuccessful burn error message. I used the same media the second time as i did with the successful first burn but this has been happening the last 5 or 6 attempts. I was able to do this for the last couple of months but lately no luck.

Post your Nero log to help sort this out. It can be found at c:program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory.log . Remeber to edit out your serial # - they begin w/ 1A.
