Even though my oem version of nero 6 burns a dvd when first using dvd shrink the first time, when i go to burn a second copy from my hard drive it says that this version has no burning capabilities.
Is there a way to fix this or I was thinking of getting a new software application either the new nero 7 ultra (which is getting poor reviews for dvd burning) or the easy media 8. Has anyone had success with either of these versions or any recommendations?
thanks
doug

Make sure you have Nero checked to burn with. In Shrink go to edit>preferences>file i/o tab. 'Enable burning w/ Nero' should be checked. Do you have the latest version of Nero? The latest is 6.6.0.18. From want I've read Shrink will not auto burn w/ Nero 7. It also won't auto burn w/ easy media 8.

Steer clear of Roxio. But to answer your question about copying a copy, all you need is DVD Decrypter and the best part is it's free. You can get yours here: http://mrbass.org/dvdrip/ download the setup file.

Once you have the program downloaded, simply put the copy into your drive go to file->ISO->read. The program will put the movie to your HDD. Then go to file->ISO->write and select the MDS file created during the read process and viola...a copy of a copy, using only freeware.

Wow can't believe I typed faster :)
Good to know about 7 working for with Shrink. I've read alot of posts saying it won't and reverting back to 6 worked. I'm sticking w/ 6 til 7 get's to like 7.4.1.1.

I think it all depends on which Nero you are using. Alkohol and I use ultra edition, I think the problem lies within the premium edition.
