I have noticed something different in the title that appears when opening disk for two recent DVDs that I could not open/back up with DVD Shrink. There seems to be extra spacing before the last bracket (])where the title appears. I was not able to open Golden Girls S3D3 (I tried with 2 different copies) and was unable to backup Madagascar. Could this be a new trend or I am doing something wrong? I have burned quite a bit so far. Thanks for any advice. Jake

Madagascar is protected with new Ripguard and DVD Shrink will not back up this movie on its own. You will either need to use free program DVD43 running in the background, the trial version of AnyDVD or you can rip with either DVD FabDecrypter or DVD Decrypter, both free and then use free program VobBlanker to get rid of the bad cells.
You can do a search and find the whole long thread on Madagascar and several other threads that will answer your questions.

All software is available from www.filepedia.com for the next few days.

Are they a finnish organization as well or are they just restricting their content like afterdawn is going to do?

I guess I'll have to edit mine too. The guides are going as well aren't they? How about the personal page, the guides and links to software, will they have to go as well? And how about the forum discussions, I wonder if we will be restricted as to what advice we can give?

As far as I know anything related to software or guides that are for breaking of protection/encryption or can be utilized to copy said media goes. The forums being that the users do not come on at all the same time can be considered "unorganized" but we will have to see how the discussions get monitored or what content we can talk about. If you have ever been over to the Burning Bits Forum they cannot talk about backing up DVD's or protected CD's. It is hard to keep up the conversation when the questions come up, you really don't know what to say.

Yeah, I imagine it will be tough. Where is Digital-Digest based out of? I've frequented the site some, and it just seems stuffy over there, to heady.

Am not sure about where DD is based, I'll take a guess at China. I totally agree on your description of the forum. It is a little to clicky for me and definitely not a free and fun as AD. Of course they all think we are AnyDVD hoes over here but I like it much better.

Yes a much friendlier environment here at AD and I'd like to stay as long as I can still help, without having my hands tied. And I only recently became an AnyDVD whore...I guess AD has converted me. LOL
