OK, here goes....

I have two DVD+/-R(W) drives, one of them Dual Layer. The DL is an HP DVD writer 630C and the other is an older single layer burner whose manufacturer I don't know. I am having a problem in that neither drive can recognize or record to a CD-R. I've tried two different burning programs with two different brands of disk and it keeps asking for a blank disk when there's already one in there. It's worked fine in the past and both drives work fine with either program if I'm using a DVD+R disc. I'm runnin WinXP Pro if that's any help.

Anybody got an idea what's wrong?
