I know there are already a lot of threads about this but there doesnt seem to be a good enough answer of yet.
I have a NEC 3100A, it wont read DVDrs DVDrws or CDs, though it can read official dvds like games etc. When I put in a blank DVD it doesnt recognise it is even there, and when it isnt blank i get this .

I have flashed it from fireware version 1.0c to 1.0b to see if it would make a difference and it diddnt, I cant seem to get it bak to 1.0c bcause i cant actualy find any downloads for that.

Also if you have a 3100AD drive this is not checking out as the correct fw, 1300A drives have 1.0B and 1.0C fw.

Sorry to double poste, It used to be able to read most disks, it happened after i reinstaled windows
