Can't burn a damn CD to save my soul...I get "Could not perform start of Disc-At-Once" HELP!

I had my computer reformatted and ever since, I cannot burn CDs. I have Nero but I have also tried HP CD Burner and WMP with no luck with any of them. It's really driving me to distraction. I have the log but don't know what part of it to post...Creaky, are you out there???

also have you installed the motherboard IDE drivers?

and have you installed an ASPI layer ?

you have some seriuos apps loaded with drivers? this may be a conflict do you have any packet writing software like ROXIO apps loaded?

Dang, so many questions. PLEASE bear in mind that you are dealing with a newbie, in the truest sense of the word. I will try to answer as best I can...

Didn't realize that was a wma but many burns have failed w/ only mp3 files.

Maybe this info will help. In Microsoft System Information>Hardware Resources>DMA, this is what it reads:

0 (free)
1 Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128D Legacy Device
2 Standard Floppy Disk Controller
3 ECP Printer Port (LPT1)
4 Direct memory access controller
5 (free)
6 (free)
7 Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128D Legacy Device

Also, In Nero InfoTool>ASPI, When I select "Nero ASPI" it says "ASPI is not installed". When "System ASPI" is selected it reads "ASPI is installed and working properly" and reads:
