My son gave me his original to make a back up to keep in his DVD player but DVD Decrypter did not work on it so I downloaded a trial version of DVDFAB Gold. Do you guys know of any alternative free programs for DVDFab I can use when this happens?

Happy new year!

hi, just use DVDFab Decrypter (free version) - http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

it gets updated fairly frequently

Try the free version. Not as many features as "Gold" but works well and is updated frequently:

Hi -

I am having a similar problem with Toy Story 2 - I am using the trial version of DVDFab (platinum gold 2.9.6.5) First I tried to make a full copy received no errors but when the DVD is played the images are highly pixilated and jumbled. I then tried to first rip to my hard drive and then use DVD Shrink but when using re-author DVD Shrink does not seem to recognize the files in the directory. I would appreciate any suggestions you have.

Thanks and Happy New Year.

Hi PJLAVE,

Like Creaky says "just use DVDFab Decrypter (free version) - DVDIdle.com/free.htm"." class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.DVDIdle.com/free.htm".

Then go to DVDShrink and "open files" to run it.Mine worked that way.

Good luck!

@cmaldona,
If you notice, the link you put in your post is kinda messed up. This happens because the link you used is also used by Afterdawn as one of their "auto-links". You know like when you type " Nero " it turns into a link.
Anyhow the fix is to review your post and see if any of your links have been displayed as "korostus" links. If they have, click the edit post link and then resubmit the post. The link will appear normally. You don't have to actually edit anything in the post. The act of edit > submit seems to cure this.

Just thought you would like to know :)
Cheers,
Frank

You can't which is a shame. I wish we could. For some reason, I'm blind to mistakes I make when I'm writing a reply. I don't see them until after I send it in. Then I have to go back and edit.

This link tells you what you need and tells you step-by-step how to fully backup Toy Story 2:Special Edition without re-authoring and removing files. I hope this helps.
