Tried Shrink, but it came up with Cyclic redundancy, so I'm guessing it's an ARCOSS protection system as the disc is clean and new.
Now trying DVDFab Decrypter, but so far it's taken 6 hours and is sooooooooo slooooooowwwwww on VTS_01_4.vob.
Any thoughts on why this is so slow.
Normally it takes a coupla hours but works every time on discs that won't work just using Shrink.

this disc was a piece of cake.i had AnyDVD running in the background and then ripped in file mode to the hard drive with DVD Decrypter. then ran it through shrink to create an iso. made a full backup with extras, subtitles....etc

Any DVD aint free though is it.
DMA settings are fine thanks.
I've not been using DVD Decryptor for a while seeing as it no longer manages the newest discs.
Other posts have suggested DVD43 and shrink, so that's my New Year job of the day.

Yes DVD43 is a free program, but it is not updated as frequently as AnyDVD. It will still do a good job for you though.
Cheers.

In my opinion (highly regarded by me alone)...LOL...AnyDVD is the premier encryption breaking software out there and is well worth the money at twice the price.

I did manage to back the movie using DVD43 and DVDShrink.
I think I got the wrong end of the stick with this one, the real disc is scratched, and sticks near the end, so it may not have been an ARCSS problem.

You can check the pricing here: http://www.slysoft.com
I think that it has a $5.00 discount, for afterdawn users, if you type the word Afterdawn in the comment box when you are ready to submit.
Cheers.
