What is the shelf life of unrecorded DVDs, TY, Fuji, Verbs. If I buy a couple hundred and do not record on them for 6 months or a year do they deteriorate sitting on the shelf. Thanks

i don't see how. just make sre you store them adequately. ie keeping them out of direct light/sunlight is one sensible precaution. i live afloat and most of my tubs of disks sit on the floor for many months at a time (incredibly cold!) which is under the waterline and i have no issue with the cold affecting the discs, for instance.

i personally stock up Taiyo Yudens whenever on sale~ :) i got few thousand in my DARK, NO SUNLIGHT closet where they reside nicely for future use~ :)

as creaky mentioned, store them adequately and you should be fine for 6 months later, year later, etc... :)

important thing is you purchase GOOD QUALITY media from the start...good luck
