Was in a drugstore the other day & happened to check the Media / elecctronics section . Noticed a 50ct. tub of tdk's DVD+R's I think & were made in india ! I'm Guessing by MOSA BAER ? I think that's what the indian media manufactureer is called isn't it? Anyway just thought it was interesting as I did'nt know tat they ever OEM'ed for TDK ! in fairness though the packaging looked new & clean it may have been old stock as they also had some 2x DVD-r Tdk's on the same shelf! Saw all this while looking& checking foe MIJ Maxells & SONY MIJ's Weird huh? Happy New year ! BURN BRIGHT in 2006! Peace!

Probably moser bauer. Maybe related to Eddie Bauer?

According to creaky,some verbs are made in india with the mitsubishi chemical corp code and they work very well.

TDK's are on sale very little up here my way.I haven't encountered a good sale on them locally in over a year. I got some TDK +2.4x RW's.
I doubt if I would even buy any of them if they did have a good sale.

@saugmon - as far as i'm aware, Indian Verbs are old stock. i bought them ages ago (think i even got some from svp some months back so they were probably old stock from the corner of the warehouse or something) and yup i had great results with them. i've still got a few tubs around here somewhere but they're lonely and unloved now i'm got so many 'Verb TY' discs around the place (sorry kivory666!!)

creaky- Thanx for the info ! Think I'll stick with the Trinity ! = TAIYO YUDEN'S , VerBatims , & Riteks ! in their various disguises! Fuji's , SonY's , Maxell's & OFFICEDEPOTS ! & preferably MIJ on the sony & FUJI will try bestbuy today or tommorrow & check for MIJ Fuji's or MIJ SONY if available at similar price ! I know I could just order Taiyo Yudens online but have some BestBuy Giftcards to spend so looks like they win! Decisions ,decisions ! I was given some staples brand +8x that were made in India. A buddy of mine had a hell of a time with them in his NEC 1100A. I had no trouble with those 5 or so discs he gave me.

I've gotten every different media code/format/speed rate/and country of origin written down for every one that I tried. Same MBIPG101R04 code on those staple's brand discs.My benq 1620 burned them up,not his NEC.
