When AnyDVD is running, you will see a little red fox icon in your system tray (down by the clock). It removes the copy protections automatically.

AnyDVD is awsome. You don't actually open it to rip with though. Just use Shrink as usual. Shrink will see the disc as "unencrypted" because AnyDVD has already removed it. Same with Decrypter or Nero. All of them will see the DVD without the encryption.

AnyDVD or DVD43 should get the job done with robots. I did not have a problem with this movie.

Have you downloaded AnyDVD or DVD43 as suggested by the other ppl in this thread. If so and you are still getting errors make sure that the disc is not dirty, scratched or smudged.
Edit: here is some light reading on the CRC errors: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/124000

I got the error tonight on hannibal of failed to read sectors. I looked closely at the disc and could see the severe scratches on it. I replaced it. All is good.

Well, just finished backing up both Tomb Raiders and decided that I would stop by for a bit before hitting the sack. I have off tomorrow so I will hit it early as well, then shopping with my better half.
I did pick up some verbs (50) for $14.76 at Sams yesterday that I thought was an excellent buy. I am looking forward to opening the cake box as soon as the stack of TY's is gone.
Cheers and happy new year.

That's where I used to get all my Verbs too, but have since moved onto Maxell full hub printables...great price by the way, you should be happy with them.

It looks like I have about 15 TY's to use first. I am looking forward to it.
I have the NEC 3550a installed and it is a great ripper. I have the 1y4 firmware version from liggy installed. I, however, cannot get it to bitset to DVD-ROM for some reason using decrypter. Any ideas?
Decrypter indicates the changes, but after the burn, still DVD+R.

No clue on that one...did you get Nero with the drive? It will automatically backup in high compatability mode. Have you checked out this site, maybe try another version... http://www.micheldeboer.nl/firmware/
Edit: I'll have some time in the next couple of days and will do some checking around for you. And just a quick thought, do you shut down your drive or let it hibernate? I've heard that the litey's will reset the booktype in DVD Decrypter when they are rebooted.
