I don't know about the VOB blanker, But Lords of Dogtown was probably the hardest movie for me to backup. Dvd shrink/dvd decrypter/dvdfab decrypter/anydvd would not work. I'd get the ISO on my harddrive-but DVD Shrink would not open up that folder.
After searching through the many Lords of Dogtown threads,I downloaded a free trial of dvd fab express.Combined with AnyDVD-no problem after that.
You'll definitely have to check out AnyDVD. It's a very nice program.
I used the current version of fab decrypter along with shrink and had no problem backing up lords of dogtown. I have and use any dvd but i'm not sure if it's needed. Any one else have a movie that the FREE 4 won't copy??
Disney Treasures Series "Disney Rarities"--I just started a new thread about it. I cannot ghet it compressed enough to burn and edited causes it to fill all avaiable space. I believe we have a new booby trap.
Like saugmon mentioned, Lords of Dogtown was the only movie I had a hard time backing up as well. I ended up using DVDFab Decrypter, which I had not used before. Now that AnyDVD can handle both the Sony ARccOSS and Macrovision RipGuard protections, I haven't encountered any problems so far.
Dvd shrink wouldn't recognize it
Activated AnyDVD,shrink still wouldn't recognize it
Used DVD Decrypter in file mode-on/anydvd/open up dvd shrink: Wouldn't recongize it!
Used dvdfab decrypter to hard drive/anydvd/open dvd shrink: wouldn't recongize it.
Used dvd fab decrypter with AnyDVD and DVD Shrink still wouldn't recongnize it.
Finally downloaded dvd fab decrypter express/anydvd in background and ripped it to a dl backup.
Anybody wants a challenge, Try Lords of Dogtown-region 1! Maybe the latest updates for dvd fab decrypter may have fixed it,but it is a monster-encryption wise!
I successfully transferred Lords over to my hard drive. Now, when I open it in DVD Shrink, it's too big for a 4.7gb disk. Is there a trick to getting it more compressed without deleting stuff from the disk?
