Are these any good? Hope so...I just bought 50 for 14.99 at Office Depot. It was the only pack on the shelf marked made in Japan. Can someone please tell me if these are good enough to burn on.

Made by Hitachi...very good stuff. I don't like it as well as my Taiyo Yuden but it was dirt cheap on Black Friday($5 for 25).

Maxell002 is another trusted media (high quality media) of mine. Go here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/262544 for more info on the Maxell (high grade "mij" by Hitachi), including some nice scanned pictures of the Quality Scores.

Evidently, it's quality is on par with both top notch Yuden and Verbatim. However, I "would not" say they're better than YUDEN and or Verbs, but for sure it's definitely on the same league.

I've been burning/using both YUDEN000T02 and MAXELL002 for dvd movies and PS2 games backups, I usually scanned most of my backups and so far their Quality Scores are outstanding equally, in terms of high quality media.

will have to agree w/ my buddies neodave and alkohol here...while i have NOT used as many as alkohol, these are very good quality discs...i only have 200 of these w/ the MAXELL002 coding...good stuff~ as alkohol said,
