I have 29.7 GB capacity, with 8.11 GB used space, 21.6 GB free space. I know when I posted before memory was an issue, so I deleted a bunch of things to get it down. My CPU usage is at 100%, and 93 from dvd shrink. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

Try rebooting, shut down everything you don't need on and try again...and as already stated check to see that DMA is on.
